Photograph taken from a hot air balloon on a late summer afternoon. Chateau de Chenonceau is the most visited and photographed chateau in France. It is located near the small village of Chenonceaux in the Loire Valley and was originally built over the river Cher in the 11th century. The château in its current form was built between 1513 and 1517, by Thomas Bohier and above all his wife, Catherine Briçonnet.
